AIS Long Range Solution
AIS Long Range Solution is based on SiiTech AIS Server and
SiiTech Web VTS products and provides an affordable long-range fleet traffic monitoring and management system for shipping companies.
The Internet-based long-range online AIS vessel traffic monitoring and management system assists shipping companies to:
- Control its fleet in real time anywhere, even in the middle of the ocean
- Investigate accidents (the unlimited history replay function)
- Receive Actual Time of Arrival notification at any predefined zone
- Receive Actual Time of Departure notification at any predefined zone
- Obtain Actual Berth Time
- Calculate an Estimated Time of Arrival to any desired point or points
- Send messages to AIS equipped ship
- Receive messages from AIS equipped ship
- Create sophisticated reports
- Alert alarms
- Make decisions in operational actions
The long-range tracking solution’s requirements:
- The ship must have a PC with a satellite Internet connection.
- The ship must have an installed AIS transponder.
- AIS transponder must be connected to the PC.
If you like this solution but do not have a satellite Internet connection on
your ships, contact us and we will provide you a
similar (even cheaper) solution based on the other type of satellite
communication system.
How to make it work in 5 minutes:
- Download and install SiiTech AIS Server Lite from the following link:
www.siitech.com/downloads/AisServer/AisServerLiteSetup.msi
- Connect your working AIS transponder to the computer
through a serial or network interface
- Specify in SiiTech AIS Server Lite the type of
connection to your AIS device
- Start AIS Server Lite
- See the ship position on
http://www.siitech.net/VTSLite
Note: If your COM port connection is using
settings other than default ones, you will have to change
the default settings accordingly. If you are using a network
AIS device, you will have to specify its TCP address and
port number.
